"Find something you are passionate about and keep
tremendously interested in it."  -Julia Child

Kelsey's passion is cooking. This passion was ingrained in her at an early age being raised in a home where mom made a home cooked meal 7 nights a week. When Kelsey left home for college she really fell in love with food as she started cooking on her own. This interest led to the creation of her own college cooking show, "Kelsey's Kitchen" emphasizing fast, fun, and affordable meals. Unlike most girls in college, Kelsey spent her money at the grocery store rather than the mall. Over the course of two years, Kelsey produced/hosted 100 episodes made up of recipes that were simple yet satisfying.

After graduating with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Brigham Young University, Kelsey attended Kitchen Academy in Hollywood, CA where she earned her professional culinary arts degree. This degree paired with training from the French Culinary Institute in New York City provided opportunities at both Martha Stewart Living and Food Network. Recently Kelsey competed on season 4 of the hit show, Next Food Network Star.

Kelsey's passion for food has led her to create recipes that target the beginning cook. She believes in breaking down the basics; teaching proper technique and making anyone feel comfortable in the kitchen.

Kelsey is currently working on a web series at Food2.com with Spike Mendelsohn from Top Chef. Kelsey spends her days developing recipes & testing product for companies like Pyrex & Thrive foods.
